Thought I would do a quick update here on my blog ^_^
Just recently I tried gouache for the first time and this is what I created with it…
I thought the result turned out alright, made a few mistakes along the way but I could always improve after getting used to working with the medium; it was quite similar to watercolour.
I based the drawing around this doll of mine...
...which I don't think is creepy at all. I love all things quirky and strange :)
Having done this, I think I want to do more of these character type drawings more often- I've given myself that challenge and perhaps (fingers crossed!) I'll begin to see some improvement within my drawings.
