As I was in Poole I visited Waterstones to gather some research on the target audience for my brief- which is for 10-12 year olds. As expected the illustrations are for the most part, more detailed than of picture books. Darker, vivid colours are used also.
These were some books that I selected from the bookshop which I thought could relate to the theme of Treasure Island.
